PROCUREMENT / SOURCINGSSCL has extensive experience and expertise in helping public and private sector clients manage their procurement processes. We can support clients through all stages of the procurement process, as well as helping them establish and align new relationships with vendors. We have helped clients from a broad range of industries with large-scale procurement projects from the initial strategy development, assessment stages through to contract negotiation and implementation.
LOGISTICS / SUPPLY CHAINSSCL can assist with the design, development and implementation of new or optimised logistics and supply chain systems, including MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes, inventory management, warehousing, transport and distribution. Implementation and often the remediation of Logistics Management Systems and organisation-wide ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning) are regular engagements.
CONTRACT / COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENTBernie Diver, SSCL’s founder and Director, established the consultancy in part through his experience gained while attending the Harvard Business School Strategic Negotiation Programme. Our team is made up of experts in negotiating formal business agreements and providing coordination of the process, ensuring each party clearly understands their rights, responsibilities, and deliverables. Our professional team are highly knowledgeable, skilled, and experienced in all aspects of contract and commercial management.
BID / TENDER MANAGEMENTAssisting clients with winning new business and increasing revenues through strategic contract negotiation is at the core of our expertise. We help clients to effectively manage the purchase of major capital assets, define service level agreements and secure high-value contracts. Coming from a background in strategic procurement, SSCL has developed a specialist capability to assist clients with responding to competitive tenders and Request for Proposals (RFPs). We help our clients focus on the key value propositions and how these can be communicated as direct benefits for the buyer. We have a very successful strike rate assisting international clients to win NZ Government contracts.
ORGANISATION DESIGNSSCL has significant experience assisting clients to optimise their organisations to deliver across the full spectrum of the Logistics, Procurement, Supply and Repair Chains.
TRAININGSSCL designs, develops and delivers a wide range of training courses, including Procurement, Service Level Agreements, Contract Writing, Inventory Management, MRP, and Warehouse Management. Specialist Defence sector training includes Contract and Commercial Management, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Controlled Technologies and Foreign Military Sales (CT & FMS), and Supply and Repair Chain Training. Customised programmes are often developed to meet the unique requirements of our clients.
PROJECT / CHANGE MANAGEMENTThe SSCL team consists of highly experienced and qualified project and change managers. Many are formally trained while serving as senior military officers. This, together with the mix of engineering, supply chain and commercial expertise, assists clients across a wide range of projects, including organisational change, introduction into service of new assets, supply chain optimisation change projects and transition of new supplier and/or client relationships.
