Lorena brings core training design, development and delivery expertise to SSCL and is able to create targeted training solutions as part of an organisation's overall capability. With over 25 years' experience in New Zealand and United Kingdom militaries, her training expertise is backed by a broad capability in strategy development and operational project management. For over a decade, Lorena led teams in complex strategic planning, enabling capability and training development, operational evaluation and executive service management roles. She brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills and is able to rigorously analyse, prioritise, develop, align and implement integrated policies, plans, work programmes and processes to deliver organisational improvement.
Her key strengths are her ability to navigate ambiguity in order to provide clear and concise advice to executives, and her ability to build and influence relationships with varied stakeholder communities.
Her work has included cross-agency development of New Zealand military mandates, the development of Defence Force strategies and plans, designing training policies and programmes, facilitating courses, and delivering integrated work programmes across diverse departments.
As a Prosci® trained change facilitator, Lorena is a champion of continuous improvement and is dedicated to developing initiatives, change programmes and introducing cohesive systems in order to best achieve organisational goals and meeting client expectations. She is also ITIL4® certified, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and is skilled in utilising a wide range of management tools.
Lorena holds Masters degrees from Oxford and Massey Universities and is a Member of the Chief of Staff Association.
